Tricare offers prescription drug coverage with most Tricare health plans. The Tricare Formulary is a list of generic and brand-name prescription drugs that are covered. The formulary is reviewed and updated each quarter. After each review, some drugs may move from one category to another.
The Tricare Pharmacy Program provides prescription drugs for eligible beneficiaries in a safe, easy and affordable way. There are four pharmacy options: military pharmacies, home delivery, network pharmacies and non-network pharmacies. Each option is available worldwide, but there are some limits overseas.
If you use the US Family Health Plan, you have separate pharmacy coverage. Dental coverage is also separate from Tricare's medical coverage and is based on who you are. You can use the Tricare Covered Services tool to see if something is covered or not. You can search by keyword or browse common categories.
