Verizon offers Wireless Phone Protection to help repair or replace your device if it's lost, stolen, or damaged. This includes water damage and cracked screens. To qualify for Wireless Phone Protection, you must enrol within 30 days of purchasing a new device, upgrading to a new device, or bringing your own device to activate on a new line. Your device must be compatible with the Verizon network, fully functioning, and not lost or stolen.
The protection covers loss, theft, and damage, including liquid damage and screen damage. It also includes next-day device replacement and unlimited cracked glass repair for select smartphones for a $0 deductible. However, this may vary depending on your location. For Florida customers, it also covers post-warranty malfunctions, but insurance terms and a damage deductible apply.
You can file an unlimited number of claims in a 12-month period, excluding cracked screen repair claims. The device replacement maximum is $400 or $3,000, depending on the device. Additionally, all device protection options automatically renew each month until cancelled and are billed directly to your wireless account. You can cancel at any time and receive a prorated refund of your monthly charge. However, if you cancel Wireless Phone Protection and switch to another device protection option, your current device will not be eligible for any other device protection unless it meets the eligibility requirements.

Extended warranty
Verizon offers Extended Warranty as part of its Total Equipment Coverage, which also includes Wireless Phone Protection. Extended Warranty covers repair or replacement for post-warranty malfunctions and defects. This includes battery replacement, but only for select smartphones and in select locations.
The Extended Warranty costs $4.15 per month and renews each month until cancelled. There is no fee for Extended Warranty repairs, but there is a $49 replacement fee, applicability determined at the time of claim, based on device type. If your device is not eligible for Extended Warranty repair, you will not be charged the replacement fee.
You can enrol in Extended Warranty on the Services & Perks page in My Verizon. To cancel Extended Warranty, you can remove it from your line on the same page, and you will receive a prorated refund of your monthly fee.
