TRICARE's four pharmacy options
Military pharmacies are available to fill prescriptions for TRICARE beneficiaries. There is no cost to fill covered specialty prescriptions at a military pharmacy. You can find a list of military pharmacies near you by visiting the TRICARE website. Some military pharmacies may stock your specialty drug, but it is recommended to check with your local military pharmacy first.
TRICARE Home Delivery is another option for beneficiaries to receive their specialty medications. In some cases, you may need to fill your prescription at a non-network pharmacy. If you fill your prescription at a non-network pharmacy, you may be responsible for the full cost of the prescription and point-of-service fees will apply. However, beneficiaries can file a claim for a partial reimbursement of the cost of their medication when filling at a non-network pharmacy.

Retail pharmacies
TRICARE has four pharmacy options, including retail pharmacies, which are available worldwide, although there are some limits overseas. In some cases, overseas retail pharmacies may be your only option. You may have to pay the total amount upfront and then file a claim with the overseas contractor for reimbursement. Active-duty service members will get a full reimbursement, while active-duty family members will get a full reimbursement when enrolled in the TRICARE Overseas Program Prime or TRICARE Overseas Program Prime Remote.
